HERE'S A COPY OF OUR OPEN LETTER TO OUR DEAR BENEFACTORS 

To you Dear Friend, 

This year on the 1st day of May at 4pm, The Glean the Lord’s Harvest Community Church, Inc. will hold its 5th Anniversary Celebration as an accomplice to the spreading of God’s message of love, grace and hope to its locality. Last year this event culminated the occupancy of the building which we tagged as “Stepping into a Landmark of God’s Greatness”.

It was attended by local friends, ministry-partners, and brethren coming from other churches whom we have tactical alliances. All in all, the church was able to raise up P700,000  (in kind, in cash, and loan) for the initial construction. Though our worship services and ministries are all held there ever since, the building was only one-third complete, rough-finished and without the very important mezzanine where the Children’s Church and administration office are supposed to be situated. Through unforeseen obstacles and financial constraints, we were able to brave those storms even if fear lingered in our thoughts and almost got into our vnerves. We honestly cannot deny this. But despite the scare we're still committed to facing a much bigger challenge of finishing what God has started in our hearts. This is not the end of the road yet—it’s the beginning of an era of believers of this church who are even more faithful and more courageous to fulfil the purpose Christ has commissioned them to do and to be. With this in mind, I'm hoping you will help.

We're currently undergoing construction. As estimated the first floor costs around P250,000 and that is being taken care of right now by our present funding so far. What I am requesting from you actually is sort of a boost we need at the moment for the project to go farther up to the mezzanine area. We will spend P350,000 for this one, more or less. Why are we pursuing this? Aside from taking advantage the momentum, we have three more reasons: the first, as always, is the economic factor, the longer it gets the costlier it becomes; the second is the plight of our Sunday School children who for several years until now are having their classes on the street; and the third is the revenue we’ll be getting from Preschool which will rent the place during weekdays when classes resume on June this year. By making a cash gift, you'd be making a sensible contribution with a cause that will help our kids have a safe place (the mezzanine) conducive for their Christian development. As for the school occupying the main floor, figuratively speaking, this is as if you are helping us to build a boat for catching fishes which feeds us for a lifetime rather than giving us a fish that’s good only for one meal.
